Contreras Law Firm

Contreras Law Firm is a personal injury law firm serving clients throughout California. My primary role was WordPress development — translating approved designs into a fully responsive, CMS-driven site. The design direction came from a print-oriented team, which meant the static comps stopped at the screen. What happened in the browser — how elements entered, how layers moved on scroll, how the page felt as an experience rather than a layout — that part was mine to figure out. Parallax effects, entrance animations, and scroll-driven text rotations were all developed and implemented independently, bridging the gap between a flat design handoff and a site that actually moves.

Beyond implementation, the project also provided opportunities to collaborate on the site’s interactive experience. Several motion and animation concepts were expanded during development, helping bring additional energy and visual polish to the final product. While the overall visual direction was provided by the design team, the implementation process became a collaborative effort in refining how those ideas behaved and felt in the browser.
